The Rhode Island Rampage stand at 5-7, and lead the season series two games to one over the Buffalo Hunters, who hold a 2-12 record.
Despite these numbers, the Rampage’s last memory of the Hunters was walking off Buffalo turf having been defeated 24-15, making the teams’ meeting on Saturday at 3pm in Rhode Island all the more interesting.
And so, while the playoffs are unobtainable for Rhode Island, they will look to win the season match-up against Buffalo, who currently has outscored the Rampage in the series, 64-58.
The Rampage’s record is deceiving, as seven of their twelve games have been within three points.
For Buffalo, the Hunters will simply attempt to prove that their dominating win over Rhode Island their last time out was less about the 13 Rampage players that faced off against a 20-player Hunters squad, and more of an example of what they can do when playing to their potential.
